About Jessica

I’m Jessica Lamb, host of The Mama Making Podcast, a motherhood podcast featuring conversations with women building businesses, leading in their communities, and creating meaningful impact alongside motherhood.

Why I Started the Show
I started The Mama Making Podcast before I ever became a mom - searching for honest conversations about identity, ambition, and what it really looks like to build a life that holds both family and fulfillment.
At the time, I was craving deeper dialogue about motherhood and career, purpose and growth - conversations that felt nuanced and real, not surface-level. I wanted to hear from women navigating business, leadership, creativity, and impact alongside the evolving identity of becoming a mother.
Then motherhood reshaped everything.
The questions I once approached from curiosity became deeply personal. What began as a search for balance evolved into something more intentional - a motherhood podcast and podcast for moms building businesses, leading in their communities, and redefining success in ways that reflect the season they’re in.
Today, The Mama Making Podcast is a space where women share what it looks like to build something meaningful - a family, a business, a team, a movement, or a new version of themselves.
Because motherhood doesn’t pause ambition - it transforms it.And what we build from that transformation matters.
How Connection Changed Everything
Through this show, I’ve had the privilege of sitting in conversation with women who are building something meaningful - businesses, community initiatives, creative work, leadership roles, and entirely new paths shaped by motherhood.
Each story is different. But the through line is the same: motherhood doesn’t diminish ambition - it deepens it. It clarifies what matters. It reshapes how we lead, create, and contribute.
These conversations have changed me as much as they’ve shaped the podcast. They’ve reminded me that growth isn’t linear, that success can look different in every season, and that impact often begins in the everyday spaces of our lives.
At its core, The Mama Making Podcast is about connection - about hearing another woman’s story and recognizing pieces of your own. It’s about creating space for honest conversations around motherhood, entrepreneurship, leadership, and the evolving identity that comes with building something alongside raising a family.
Because when we share our stories, we don’t just feel less alone - we see what’s possible.

Building Alongside Motherhood
Through this podcast, I’ve connected with countless women who found themselves building something new after becoming mothers - businesses, creative paths, leadership roles, community initiatives, or entirely new versions of themselves.
Listening to those stories reshaped the way I saw my own.
I didn’t leap into entrepreneurship overnight. I grew into it - slowly, intentionally - allowing my work to expand alongside motherhood instead of competing with it. That evolution eventually led me to launch Collabs Creative, a boutique digital marketing and storytelling studio rooted in clarity, connection, and meaningful growth.
What continues to fascinate me is how motherhood often becomes a catalyst - not for doing more, but for doing things differently. For building businesses with intention. For leading with depth. For creating work and community that reflect the season you’re actually in.
At my core, I’m a connector and storyteller. My hope is that when you listen to this motherhood podcast - or build something of your own - you recognize that growth doesn’t stop when you become a mother.
It simply takes a new shape.
